VAN HALEN Bassist Jams With TRIBE OF JUDAH, METAL SHOP
January 22, 2003VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony dropped in at The Viper Room in West Hollywood, California Monday night [Jan. 20] to check out ex-VAN HALEN singer Gary Cherone's new band, TRIBE OF JUDAH. At the end of their set, "Michael jumped up on stage, hijacked TRIBE OF JUDAH bassist] Pat Badger's bass and the boys tore the packed house apart with 'Somebody Get Me A Doctor', which featured Michael on lead vocals!," according to Anthony's official web site. "Then [former EXTREME guitarist] Nuno Bettencourt joined the party to crank out a blistering cover of LED ZEPPELIN's 'Rock And Roll'! If that wasn't enough for the already euphoric crowd, Michael then got back up on stage with the '80s metal cover band METAL SHOP (featuring THE ATOMIC PUNKS' David Lee Ralph on lead vox) for 'Unchained' and 'Hot For Teacher'!
